Tigray Government Press Release: on False Allegations Concerning Child Soldiers Serving in the TDF

The Government of Tigray strongly repudiates the spurious allegation that child soldiers are serving and/or being trained in the Tigray Defense Forces (TDF). We assert in the strongest terms possible that the TDF is committed to international protocols prohibiting the recruitment of children for military training and children's engagement in armed hostilities. There has never been nor is there at this time a single child under the age of service training or serving with the TDF.

Tigray President Debretsion’s call on Ethiopians to refuse to be a part of yet another catastrophe and carnage

The people of Tigray were never an enemy to the Amhara, they are not today, nor will they ever be an enemy in the future. To other Ethiopians: uphold your responsibility to advocate for the perpetrators that committed atrocities during the war on Tigray to be held accountable. Do not enter into another round of destructive war against the people of Tigray, that the regime could not defeat even with the invitation of foreign invading force. We call upon you to say enough and refuse to a part of yet another catastrophe and carnage, and to engage in a befitting struggle that is beneficial for yourselves and your future history.
