UNSC Statement on Tigray Alone Won’t save Lives; Action Needed

Tigrayans and those who care about the people of Tigray are calling for urgent action to put an end to human rights violations. Above all, the UNSC members must demand Abiy Ahmed to take concrete measures to stop the war before it is too late. He should not be allowed to hide behind “sovereignty and territorial integrity” and continue, unchecked, to violate the human rights of Tigrayans. If he as a head of government cannot protect civilians, someone else should.

Where are the Tigrayan members of Ethiopian National Defence Force?

After Abiy Ahmed declared war on Tigray, life has not been the same for Tigrayans. There were reports of harassment, discrimination, and abuse of Tigrayans by government officials. Tigrayan top military officers and members of the Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF) were not even spared. All ethnic Tigrayans who were serving ENDF have been disarmed, many of them are detained and unjustly imprisoned since the beginning of the war.

Is the Ethiopian National Defense Forces (ENDF) less involved in atrocities in Tigray?

Gathering the massacres committed by the ENDFs may remind us of the scope of the human suffering, the scale of the war and the depth of the malevolence (ca.'Choose - I kill you or rape you') of the ENDFs and the ingenuity and mercilessness (ca.'save yourselves') of their evil acts. Any particular case of massacre or rape or other war crimes that you encounter on the media is only a part, a small one, of a carnage that has lasted for five months.

Recent Stories of the War on Tigray: the Collective Agony Continues

One of the weapons Abiy Ahmed is lies, grandiose lies. (I call him homo mendacious for the same reason). The following excerpt debunks one of his biggest and most frequently told lies: That the war started because TPLF attacked the Northern Command. The truth is that Abiy and his mentor, Isaias, the architect of the war, had long planned it.

Debunking the Myth of an ‘Attack on the North Command’ as a Factor that Led to the Ongoing Genocidal War on Tigray

Now it is clear that this whole thing about the attack on the Northern command is justan Anti-Tigray alliance, which was in the making for the last three decades and strategically organized in the last three years. This was realized by the pseudo ‘peace pact’ with Eritrea, which only wanted to sandwich Tigray between two mortal enemies (Eritrea and Amhara) and then finish it off.
